How to install VLC on BT5 or Linux

INSTALL VLC MEDIA PLAYER ON BACKTRACK 


Hey Friends.. 

Today We are going to  Learn How To Intall VLC Media Player in BACKTRACK OS

For That ! You must have an   INTERNET Connection in BACKTRACK OS !

If You Have Then  Let's Start !

Open Your Terminal IN BT OS !

After that  Type  "apt-get install vlc"

After Downloading All the Packages Type this cmd in console !  "hexedit /usr/bin/vlc"

then press [tab] to move the cursor over to the text section and find where it says

"geteuid._libc_start_man"  Just replace "geteuid" With "getppid" then Press  CLT+O

Then Press "Y" for Confirmation ... Then Done !

 For Opening VLC Media Player Just Type "vlc" In Terminal and you are done

or Easy commands :
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc vlc-plugin-pulse mozilla-plugin-vlc
hexedit /usr/bin/vlc
To save the changes press F2
After the install go to Applications/Sound $ Video/VLC media player.
